The EECE Department alone has more than 38 faculty members, one of the largest groups in the NCR/ Haryana.
To meet industry requirements, there is enhanced stress on practical oriented teaching with increased lab work content. All the labs at NCU are well equipped and well maintained. Keeping in view the latest trends, many relevant contemporary software packages have been made available for MTech students. Some of these are MATLAB Ver. 2014 , QUALNET , OPTSIM , VHDL , Xilinx , CADENCE tools latest version, LABVIEW , TANNER TOOLS , KEIL Compiler , Modelsim , NS-2, CST etc. There is strong emphasis on research for which electronic access to all IEEE journals and transactions is available to all the students.
More practical exposure, so important for engineering education, is given to the students with the inclusion of summer industrial trainings after one year as well regular industry visits. To enhance the employability of our MTech students for both teaching and industry careers, external agencies are hired to provide personality development programmes (PDP) for overall grooming of the students. This helps the students increase their career options over time, by giving them the preparation, skills and credentials that they need to find the job that fits their goals.
Our MTech (ECE) programme has drawn attention of top industries and many of our students have been absorbed in these industries at very attractive packages. MTech (ECE) students have also done well in teaching and industry careers. Almost all students passing from the University in MTech (ECE) are placed. Many of them have opted teaching as their career and are working in well-known engineering institutions while others have gone for industry jobs at very good salary packages. The EECE Department as well the Central placementcell of the University extends all possible help to M.Tech students in finding suitable placements.Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) postgraduates at NCU have best of both theworlds, prestigious jobs in renowned electronics and telecom companies as well as premium jobs in global computer and IT organizations.
